LAST BUT NOW LEAST.........THE FLYER

Last, but now least.............The Flyer

So sorry it took me so long to post the last winter piece.  I have been very busy with a large order and I was not able to blog.  Anyway, I made this hat last year from a great pattern I found from Andrea Forstbauer.  I loved it so much, I had to add it to the collection.

The Flyer is a modern aviator style hat.  So fun, stylish and warm for the winter.  It can be custom made in lots of great colors.

Continuing with the Philadelphia theme, this hat is named after their great hockey team, The Flyers.

That concludes the new winter collection for now.  I will keep you updated on any new pieces I add.  Hope you enjoyed them all!  Thanks!

NEXT UP........THE RITTENHOUSE

The fourth piece in line is The Rittenhouse

The Rittenhouse is a long, wide textured infinity scarf that can hang or it can be doubled.  Once doubled, pull it up over your head like a hood.  You will enjoy all the different ways you can wear this one.  It also can be made in lots of great colors.

Named after Rittenhouse Row in Philadelphia, of course.  This is an amazing area of Philly to gather the girls and get ready for shopping and great dining.  Just a few of my favorite restuarants, Alma de Cuba, Del Frisco's, Marathon Grill, Parc, Square 1682, and Mahogany (where hubs and I love to smoke a cigar).  As for the shops, there too many to mention.  Check them out for yourself!

NEXT UP........THE MELROSE

Next up in the new winter collection......The Melrose

The Melrose is a warm and cozy cowl that fastens with natural wooden buttons made from OruAka.  Also a perfect cowl to keep the neck and chest toasty during these upcoming winter days.  Comes in lots of great colors. The buttons are made from oak, elm, cedar, and more.  They comes in various shapes and sizes.  I love all my new winter pieces, but this is one of my favorites.

Named after Melrose Diner in South Philly.  This is a spot that my husband and I would go quite often and have breakfast.  Have you ever had dessert after breakfast?  Well, that was very common for me at Melrose.  They have the most amazing cakes and pies.  I always had to leave room.  One other thing that stands out in my mind about Melrose, was the cheese they would put on the eggs.  The cheese, really?  I can't describe it, it's just the best ever!

NEXT UP........THE READING

Continuing with the new Winter Collection.....next in line is The Reading.

The Reading is a soft, textured neck warmer.  Great piece to make sure during these cold days ahead, you keep your neck and chest toasty.  Can be made in lots of great colors.

The Reading is named after one of my favorite places in Philly, The Reading Terminal Market.  It's basically a huge farmer's market that sells everything from old books to fresh flowers.  Even unique finds like handmade pottery and jewelry.  When we lived in Philadelphia, I would always be there on my days off.  The smell of the food and baked goods kept me coming back.  And I would end every visit with some Bassetts ice cream.  Yum!

INTRODUCING....THE FAIRMOUNT

Last week I sent five new winter pieces to my photographer and today I received the pictures.  They are amazing!  Over the next 5 days, I will be introducing you to my new additions.

Inspiration......the place where my husband was born and raised, the great city of Philadelphia.  Each piece is named after a place I have grown to love there.

First up.......The Fairmount.

The Fairmount is a large, thick, puffy stitch cowl made with an earth brown yarn.  Named after Fairmount Park which is over 9200 acres and claims 10% of the land in Philadelphia.  It's guaranteed to keep you warm and toasty during those chilly Fall days and cold Winter nights.
